Management
Complete password control is provided, and textbook managers may delegate data-entry tasks with full process-integrity assured. A substantial set of quick-access and report-writer capabilities is available, allowing for management by exception. In addition to the complete set of standard reports, staff will be able to create and generate custom reports to meet the unique needs of your store. The store is in complete control of the process and policies from front to back.

Adoption Management
TA2 provides your text department staff with the tools needed to manage the adoptions process efficiently and accurately. The application is fully windowed, allowing easy access to vital information. The ability to copy prior terms allows for management by exception, and online history and market-share tracking take the guesswork out of the adoptions process. For multiple-store environments, you can view available inventory for all stores/all terms on one screen (inquiry and adoptions).

TA2 Publisher Master
TA2 Publisher Master comprises more than 2,000 of the most commonly used publishers. All pertinent information, including shipping, billing, SAN numbers, and returns policy, is included. Full edit capability is provided, allowing the store to add, delete, or modify this data as required.

Purchasing
Complete open-to-buy and PO-management are built into the system. All publisher and wholesaler orders can be placed electronically through PubNet, Easylink, and MBS Directlink (electronic ordering between your store and MBS inventory terminals that delivers a response to want-lists within 30 minutes—guaranteed). Want-list allocation (the ability to simultaneously send lists with percentage breaks to multiple wholesalers) and MBS TA2 SmartList (providing cascading ordering capabilities for all wholesalers selected) will increase your ability to secure crucial used books. An automatic PO-build for all major wholesaler responses is fully integrated, and EDI is fully supported. For multiple-store environments, TA2 purchasing capability allows you to consolidate your individual want-lists and purchase orders for each vendor/publisher into a single list.

Receiving
Accurate receiving is the key to sound data integrity. MBS has streamlined this critical process to make it highly efficient and to include License Plate Receiving capabilities (EDI software required). Complete notification of order status, edition, and pricing is provided. Barcode label generation is completely integrated.

Returns
Proper management of the returns process will dramatically increase the profitability of the store. Each time return privileges are lost on a book not being re-adopted, the store must sell four books to overcome this loss. In TA2, MBS has fully automated the returns process to include establishment of user-defined return codes, editable credit invoice with Stock Ledger integration, creation and storage of multiple permission letters, trackable restocking expenses, and complete audit trail.

Buyback
Buyback with TA2 is so easy that you’ll no longer need a book professional to work the line. Complete computerized barcode scanning is fully integrated into the application, thus eliminating errors, increasing speed, and delivering data integrity and credibility during the event. As well, with-real time information updates, you can include multiple sites or stores in the buyback. Student ID, sales capture, and receipt generation are optional and fully controlled by the store. A complete audit trail by buyer, station, dollars, and books is provided.
